HONEY KALARIA
Profile:
Honey, “choreographer to the stars” is considered to be Britain ’s top modern Indian dance expert. She is a lethal combination of beauty and brains who is frequently referred to as “The UK’s Bollywood Ambassador”. She started dancing at the age of four, and has dedicated herself to perfecting a plethora of dance styles including classical dance, disco, Latin American, rock ‘n roll and belly dancing. Her talent is such that she has been asked to perform around the world and back home in front of dignitaries such as the Queen and Tony Blair. She is also a talented actress, singer, has worked as a model, and is a well respected business woman. She set up and runs her own Dance Academy and Agency, with 14 centres across Greater London now boasting 1,800 students. Her Academy has recently been hailed by the BBC as ‘ The 21 st Century Fame School.’ Honey is a highly sought after choreographer and both she and her students have appeared in a variety of mainstream and Bollywood films and videos. Honey was presented with the Best International Artist Award for her role in Indian Babu, and promoting Bollywood to the UK . Honey has released her first record ‘Time To Dance’ and a ‘Bollywood Workout’ video that secured the no.1 position for mainstream Keep Fit videos in 2003. Honey was one of the judges for Channel 4’s 2004 hit series ‘Bollywood Star’ and has been the Bollywood Guru for ITV’s hit show ‘For One Night Only to be screened in 2006.’ She has been nominated as Business Woman of the Year and has received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from the University of East London . Honey regularly performs with and choreographs top UK , US & Bollywood stars.
